Experiencing “windmill technology” is remarkable.
Last February 2010, our group of engineering organized a plant visit. We visited the windmill located at the Bangui , Ilocos Norte. I was so amazed when the first time I set my eyes on these windmills and so my group wondering how they operates these such kind of technology. It was really knowledgeable.
When our bus getting closer to the windmill…..it was so huge…whoa!!!! and I was so excited. We went to the Maintenance Office, there was the engineer who oriented us about some sort of knowledge, its history and so the people involved of building that kind of tools. The engineer said that 40% of the electricity that used in Ilocos Norte came from the windmills and the rate of the electricity there was so cheap even though it was a private firm. Each windmill had 236 meters apart on shore. These beautiful structures had 41 meters blade and its height was roughly equivalent to a 23 storey building, as the engineer discussed to us. Another thing that I asked to myself is that how this technology built, where these people get the materials? And so the engineer told to us that these materials were imported from the other country and the investors were foreign business men. After some briefing, we had given the opportunity to look closer to the windmill and take some pictures for souvenirs.
That place can never be forgotten and so the experience I had, exploring that wonderful site. You shouldn't miss visiting windmill when you pass by Ilocos Norte. I hope our government should provide more renewable energy in different parts of the country and reduce the frightening greenhouse effect which causes global warming.
What an enjoyable plant visit!
wow...its nice to be there..great technology and so helpful to our country.
ReplyDeletecool!!! since some of the places in Philippines recently had experience drought which causes electical supply shortages and water shortage supply ( SA MGA PALAYAN) in some places like ISABELA...i guess windmill will be a great remedy ....:)
ReplyDeletewohoa..is it?(benar) if i will visit Philippines, i will got there & take a look..i read ur blog from a frnd of mine in the Philippines..im from brunein.I admire ur place.

HAHAHAHAH may windmills pala sa ILOCOS <")
ReplyDeleteIt is such a knowledgeable field trip for young engineering students....
ReplyDeleteWindmill is a brilliant technology in the power industry. It is an environmental friendly source of electricity though I believe the investment is quite high but comparable to oil and gas it is still cheaper. In philippines it is onshore based but in othr countries they were able to built them offshore where wind is much great in magnitude... Go Philippines.
napintas dayta nga teknolohiya, lalo ket awan ti oil & gas tayo.Sapay koma ta umado pay dagita ta lugar tayo...great...good..agbiyag ti pilipino
ReplyDeleteYoh Go Ilocos..go Philippines, go WINDMILLS
ReplyDeleteBAGUS! nice ur place bro., very big windmills
ReplyDeletetama kayo malaking tulog nga iyan sa power industry, kaya lang kelangan talaga ng malakas n puwersa ika na magnitude.......haaaaaaaay malaking investment ulit yan kapag magtatayo.
ReplyDeletefriendly user ..windmills!!
ReplyDeleteCOOL!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei will follow nurulaida goin there to your country here Brunei dont have.
In Power and so Electric industry, it was a pleasure to have windmills in Philippines. The investors are very kind to build that such tools that are very helpful to the economy.
ReplyDeleteIlocos Norte's windmill...such a wonderful invetion...i wish we can also have that tech...para naman wag nang sugapa sa pagsingil sa kuryente ang mga power producers dito
ReplyDeleteLuhh? Luls

ReplyDeleteCAN WE KNOW HOW EFFICIENT THE WINDMILLS AT ILOCOS NORTE?
ReplyDeletelooks interesting; this is really a big help to our country. hopefully some parts of Philippines soon they can generate it.
ReplyDeleteenergy consumption
Its a good thing they implement that such project; very useful and helpful sa economy crisis natin ngaun sa pinas...kelan ba yan itinayo?
ReplyDeletePaano gumagawa yan windmill?
ReplyDeleteexperiencing your tour serves as a good factor for young engineers to know the beneficial energy consumption.
ReplyDeleteHow strong & efficient your windmill?where is the energy came from?
ReplyDeleteCLEAN!!!!!great engineers, good ideas as well decrease polusyon
Ok yan blog mo ah conserve anergy yan
ReplyDeleteNaimbag a teknolhiya makatulong ti pinagrang - ay ti kaadduan...agpatakder da met koma iti sabali pay a parte ti Pilipinas saan lang nag dito ILOCOS....thumbs up!!!:)
